2017 was a great year for film. Thank you kindly, Millennium movie Gods!!! All in all I watched, from my count, 423 films in 2017. That may sound like a lot to some but I plan on smashing that in 2018. The films on this list will consist of what I consider the 17 Best and 10 Worst of 2017, 10 Best Horror, 3 WTF can my brain not unsee, 10 Best Shorts and 9 films that many may have missed. These films are based on my personal judgement experiencing it at the time, reminiscing after and speaking to others about the film and the impact it had on me. These may not be everyone’s best or worst and there are a few I was unable to see before 1/1/2018, (Killing of a Sacred Deer, The Post, The Mummy), but these are what I have chosen and I’m always happy to discuss people’s thoughts and opinions, the key word being discuss. Now without further ado, here are The Blonde in Front’s Top 17/22 of 2017

Honorable mention: IT, Dunkirk, Ingrid Goes West, The Darkest Hour, T2 Trainspotting, Wonder Woman, Battle of the Sexes, American Made, Good Time, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor Ragnarok, Lost City of Z, In the Fade, Mudbound, I, Tonya, Hostiles, Lady Macbeth, Baby Driver
Have not seen: Killing of a Sacred Deer, The Post, The Beguiled, The Greatest Showman, Murder on the Orient Express, Phantom Thread
Best Documentary of 2017 I actually only saw one but this was enough
The Rape of Recy Taylor
The Worst of 2017 – Sidenote: I understand what it takes to make a film, (the hours, hard work, time away from loved ones, frustration, money, time, time, time) and I’m not negating that. I’m disappointed and in some cases angry with the end results these films brought and the time I could have been doing other things, ANYTHING, besides watch them.
8. Darkness Rising
9 Chips
10 Unforgettable
Honorable mention: The Great Wall
Have not seen: The Mummy, Valerian, Transformers, Baywatch, I honestly missed a lot of BAD movies on purpose in 2017.
BEST Horror of 2017
Honorable mention: The Girl in the Photographs, The Belko Experiment, A Dark Song, CREEP 2, Mayhem, Drifter, The Invisible Guardian, 1922, Applecart
Have not seen: The Blackcoats Daughter, We are the Flesh, Victor Crowley
Best Shorts of 2017
WTF can my brain not unsee award goes to
Films to watch out for in 2018
Under Appreciated films of 2017

And these are my lists for 2017. I hope you enjoy them and maybe some items on the lists will intrigue you to watch some films you may not have known about otherwise. Looking forward to showing everyone what’s in store for 2018.
As always, if you see me at the movies, I’ll be the Blonde in Front! 😉🎬📽🎥🎞🤳
